What Are Slurred Speech, Impaired Balance And Weight Loss Suggestive Of?

A friend of mine (age 65) has symptoms of slower slightly slurred speach, loss of balance, and weight loss. She has had a CT scan and a stroke or heart attack have been ruled out. Loss of balance was the first onset (about a year ago) and, over time, the speach slowed and there was weight loss. Appetite is fine, mental capacity hasn t changed. She has been in the medical system but, with change of doctors, her records were misplaced. She does have an appointment with a Neurologist at the end of July.

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, if the concern test as long as the symptom of slurred speech and loss of balance are concern are negative then the symptoms again need to be ruled out for other systemic disease else it may not be anything wrong although you have not asked any specific question hope this information helps.
