hi my name is siddarth and i am a childhood asthamatic i am 24 years old and ever since i was a child i have been having asthama attacks. during my child hood the severity and frequency were much more. none of my parents and my 13 year old sibling have this. off late i was in australia to complete a masters course and during my stay there i have not had a single asthama attack or cold, cough and wheeze, but i had a pneumothorax!! after having returned to, and within two months i have had my first asthama attack and i was prescribed defcort30 mg and nebulization by myfamily physician. who is an excellent doctor. i am very worried about the side effects of the steroid defcort. i have been advised to take it for 5 days. my question is-can you please brief me about the side affects of the steroid and can you tell me how to prevent such attacks in further. i am on a regular oral inhaler.
