What Are Side Effects Of Brain Tumor Removal?

My wife had a benign brain tumor removed in 2004. She also had radiation to shrink the balance of the tumor they couldn t remove. The radiation has caused many side effects, one being the loss of sight in her right eye which was diagnosed as 3rd nerve pasly. Earlier this week during her eye exam, her pressure in that eye was 56. The Dr said it was from blood vessel blockage & recommended some type of glaucoma surgery. I may be short of info for you, but is this what would normally be done?

If the pressure in the eye is elevated at 56 and they are recommending straight away surgery then, my question first would be whether or not she's been on eye drops to reduce the pressure and if so, how has she done? If the answer is that YES, She has been on such medications and still her pressure is highly elevated then, I would agree that surgery may be her best hope to protect sight in that eye and prevent further complications. Good luck to the both of you.
