Hi,

Prominence of broncho-vascular markings in para-cardiac region may be due to COPD, pulmonary hypertension or pulmonary fibrosis. Haziness in lower zone points towards conditions like pneumonia or atelectasis ( collapse of part of lung).

Infiltrates are patches of increased density in the plain XRAY. These usually are present in conditions of any acute or chronic infection of the lung. In a nutshell, your Plain XRAY CHEST is indictive of some infection, it may be acute or chronic, active or healed. Though, it is a non-specific diagnosis, which needs to be investigated further with relevant other investigations and with co-relation of clinical condition and history of the patient.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Satnarain Bansal, General & Family Physician
