What Are Mood Swings, Nausea And Frequent Periods Post Childbirth Suggestive Of?

My daughter had a baby last May and has progressively became more irritable. I can t say she is sad but more angry at everyone. She is a good mom but very overprotective. She also has been experiencing nausea with upper abdominal pain. She is scheduled for a hydroscan. Anyway, would she be experiencing postpartum depression with her irritability? She also has her period every other week. Any suggestions would be nice.

Hello dear

Thanks for writing to us, we are here to help

Assessing the problems faced by your daughter I find them not too concerning.
After delivery there a lot of Hormonal changes inside the body of a female that can sometimes lead to over reaction as you say but this is quite normal. With time it will subside by itself.
The periods are also irregular post partum so she not be too concerned about that as well unless it is very heavy bleeding.
Every mother is overprotective about her child especially the first one so this too is not a matter of concern.
All these symptoms do occur naturally in a mother after delivery.
Please do not worry at all.

Hope that clears doubts
Thanks
