What Are Effects Of Having Stomach Flu?

I started having diarrhea on Friday about noon. Went to ER and was diagnosed with Stomach Flu. I'm still having diarrhea and lots of gas and bloating. Now I'm also having shortness of breath and pain in my left chest. BP was good. Is this normal for Stomach Flu?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Welcome to Healthcare Magic Forum.
I have gone through your Query & I really appreciate your concern about the problem you are facing.

As a physician I would like to tell you that your symptoms are most probably due to the Stomach Flu (Gastroenteritis) only. I would advise that you should take rest, have plenty of fluids, avoid coffee or milk, have soft food diet for another 5-6 days and you will be okay in no time.

I would also like to tell you that you should visit your attending physician again if the symptoms of shortness of breath and chest pain increases or does not subside.

Thanks for Trusting & Posting your Query on this forum.
Hope this will help you. Feel free to ask any further question.
Have a nice Day.

Regards,
Dr.Abhijeet
