Welcome to 'Ask a Doctor'. Please type your question here...For the last 2 months I have been dealing with back pain when sleeping that wakes me up 4 hours after I go to bed. The pain is of the sort that leaves me taking short breaths due to the pain from the expansion of the rib area when taking a breath deeper than that. It was initially excruciatingly painful in the centre of the upper/mid bad, but it seems to have moved all over the place. Now I feel some discomfort in my lower back where my kidneys are, which previously did not exist.
I went to the hospital for an X-ray, but everything looked fine and my doctor is trying to get spine clinics or clinics dealing with muscle or back related things to make an appointment with me. I am not confident in these methods
I don't know what to do because I do strenuous work for a living and I am absolutely exhausted from sleep deprivation. Please help.
