We Don't Know Why The Following Happened. Do You Have

We don't know why the following happened. Do you have any suggestions?

ER visit (Lucy) 8/14/17, Monday
Lucy: First thing I remember is Al trying to communicate with me at around 1 a.m., trying to wake me up (almost exact same as last time). Could not talk for about 10 minutes. Remember hearing Al, but not able to respond. Ambulance arrived, and I smiled when asked (barely). He did moving and pressure test (Al says I got by on a D) (I thought I did the test fine) Had an MRI and an EEG in the hospital. All tests came out looking good according to the doctors.

Al: This is Lucy, unknown attack #2. Both attacks occurred after being asleep around 2-1/2 hrs. Lucy struggling for breath, woke me up. There was phlegm coming from her nose and mouth. She was almost totally unresponsive to outside stimuli for more than a few minutes. Speech and memory were not normal, screwed up. Around 45 to 60 minutes after the attack, she could not remember what year it was.
Lucy snored over the years, but seem to be lessening lately. Her memory has seemed to be worse over the last several years, but overall she is far, far from the dementia ward.

ER visit (Lucy) 6/23/17, Friday

Lucy: Retired about 10 p.m., about 1 a.m. I was having a problem breathing. Al woke and he asked if I was okay, I didn’t respond as I felt I was still half in a dream. He started rubbing my back and asking questions. I could tell my response was garbled, like words weren’t forming correctly. I had a lot of trouble sitting up. Walked stumbling, to bathroom, picked up glass of water and it slipped through my fingers. Went to bathroom and back to bedroom, where I got dressed with no problem.

Al: wife woke me up making noise similar to snoring, but could tell she was having a hard time breathing. I asked “are you okay?” No response. 5 yrs. previous she had a problem with throat closing impeding breathing that would last about 20 seconds. Was lying on left side facing away from me. I started rubbing back and telling her that she would get her breath back and not to panic. At this point it is questionable if she was even awake. About 40 seconds later, breathing got better. Breathing sounded like there was phlegm in the way causing labored breathing. Breathing easier, I got up and was talking to her with no response. She then tried to say something and I could not understand and it was not in her normal voice. I noticed the right side of her face was distorted. I asked her to smile, she didn’t. She tried talking, not normal voice. We were trying to decide if calling 911. I asked if she could get up. It took at least 30 seconds for her to get up. Asked her to smile again and she did. I asked if she was thirsty. She stood up, but was wobbly. Went to the bathroom, spilled the water, was hanging onto the wall while going toward bathroom. She urinated, went back and set on bed. I filled water bottle up and delivered to her. She still had a hard time holding the glass. Called 911 and while waiting, Lucy was feeling better but not near to 100%. We both got dressed, came downstairs and 10 min. paramedics came. Lucy was improving, but still something was wrong. Paramedics gave Lucy a bunch of tests, oxygen and pulse test. Low 90’s and 120. Then took blood pressure, which was a little high. Did tests to eliminate stroke as cause. Took blood sugar, which was okay. All tests indicated she was all right. The recommended going to ER and we agreed. They walked Lucy down to car and got her in. Went to ER, she was feeling better all the time. All the tests at ER showed no indication of what happened. Had 2 sugar tests (prick on finger) within 45 min. Had CAT scan, Chest X-rays. Took lots of blood. All tests came out good, according to the doctors.
On 6/28/17 had ultrasound on neck which turned out okay with just slight plaque.
A few days after this my face turned red and was swollen on one side, indicating a spider bite that might cause these symptoms.
