Watery Stools With Sharp Odor In 2 Year Old
hi, my 2 year old son is experiencing very watery stools. it has a very sharp odor and the colour has varied from dark brown this morning, to almost clear this afternoon. he has also vomitted after having his normal breakfast of toddlers cereal and an apple. he refuses to drink anything and he also doesn t want to eat anything. he has no fever but, his skin has gone pale. do i need to rush him to a doctor or is this normal? thank you.

Hi, ur baby is having moderate to severe dehydration.
If baby is vomitting out everything and very lazy, not taking any thing orally, it is better to go to hospital as the treatment option will be most probably giving fluids through injections.
Till u reach the hospital u give oral sugar-salt solution sip by sip through spoon.

Hi,
your son is suffering from acute gastroenteritis,
Give him plenty of water,lemon juice,electral powder,as dehydration is very common if loose motions does not control.
Give rice,curd and buttermilk.
Give some anti diarrheal syrup to stop diarrhoeea.
If loose motions does not subside and he felt more pale and dry tongue take him to doctor without delay to combat dehydration.
