General & Family Physician 's  Response
Dear Maureen,

The symptoms as mentioned in your post is attributed to Postural hypotension.
It occurs due to pooling of blood in the lower limbs when you suddenly get up from sitting/ lying position.
As a result of this blood accumulation in lower limbs, there is momentary tingling sensation in feet & toes.

So, kindly consult your General Physician & get your blood pressure checked once in lying down position & once in standing position.
If there is a fall in systolic blood pressure by more than 10 mm of Hg, then the diagnosis of Postural hypotension will be confirmed.

Till then, maintain adequate hydration & nutrition status.
And avoid changing of postures suddenly.

Wishing you a good health.
Take care.
