General & Family Physician Dr. Gautam Das's  Response
Hi. Effective treatment of Psoriasis depends on the type of disease, the severity, and the total body area involved, hence your treating physician would be a good judge. A particularly effective approach to psoriasis has been commonly called "rotational" therapy, however all therapies have their possible side effects. For symptomatic relief of pain analgesics can be helpful.

Ayurveda Specialist Dr. Rajesh Lakhanpaul's  Response
In Ayurveda we categorise diseases in three categories sadhya asadhya and yapya. yapya means those diseases which can be cured but are not easy to cure. this psoriasis is a yapya.Amongst herbal medicines we use khadir arisht haridra khand tab.allerin and gandhak rasayan with local application of dermafes oil. This has to be taken for a long time till all redness and scalling is cured.
