Hi i am Dr.kadhir,

At first i would like to advice to give feeds using paladai and stop using bottles if you practice it. Next try to breast feed her as much as possible.

Mint water are are not advised for babies especially less than 1 month of age. But it has been in practice for a long time, her vomiting may be due to any infection or allergy.

The best treatment is observing the baby, few kids vomit once or twice and than get better.Give her feeds when she demands (cries).

If she continues to have vomiting , loose stools, reduced activity, refusal of feeds then medical attention should be obtained immediately as any mild infection in newborn can be threatening.

Thank you for the consultation in healthcare magic.

Pediatrician Dr. E Venkata Ramana's  Response
Hi,

Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic.

What is the age of baby?

Colic is common in infants and for its treatment kindly use only prescribed medication and follow the measures as advised by the pediatrician.

I advise you to give to continue exclusive breast feeds till the age of 6 months and stop giving formula milk.

If formula milk is unavoidable, dilute in regular drinking boiled and cooled water and don't use mint water.

If vomitings are there, you can give drops like domperidone in prescribed dose.

Consult the pediatrician for examination and prescription of medication.

Hope I have answered your query.

Regards.
