Used Isopropyl Alcohol For Burned Skin. How To Cure From It ?

I have a friend whos job is as a tool maker, he has worked as such for 15yrs. Concern is with his hands. the equipment/tools used are cleaned with Isopropyl alcohol and for months now, he has noticed his hands red and irritated. Furthermore, they have a burned skin smell to them. Can you help? what can he use to heal his hands? He doesnt use the alcohol but we think it may be the constant contact with the tools which are rubbed with Isopropyl causing this problem.. Please advise.
