Urine Has Had Foul Smell And Rectum Has Excruciating Pain. What Is Happening?

Hi, lately my pee has been smelling kind of fishy and it looks cloudy. Also when I try to poop there's an excruciating pain in my rectal. Like someone is stabbing me. I don't know if either is related to the other but the rectal has been happening for about a year and usually when I'm on my period. I'm 18 and I wanted to know if I should go to the doctor and get I checked out

Hi ! Good morning. I am Dr Shareef answering your query.

Although the spasm of the uterus during periods could radiate to the rectum, if I were your treating physician, I would advise you for an ultrasound of abdomen, a urine routine and culture sensitivity test to rule out a urinary tract infection, and a per rectal examination by a surgeon to rule out any rectal pathology.

Till the report arrives, I would advise you for a sitz bath, an anti spasmodic/anti inflammatory for your problem. Further management would depend on the reports of your investigations.
