Twisted Ankle, Swelling, Toes Numb. Should I Concerned?

My daughter twisted her ankle playing volleyball and fell to the ground. Swelling started immediately, she is not able to put her weight on the foot and reports that her 2 small toes are numb. X-rays performed and were negative. Should we be concerned with the numbness?

Hello,
Thanks for your query.
It is due to the damage of ligaments or can be a hair line fracture .For now apply crape bandage and rest your ankle for 1 week, you will be better after 1 week or 10 days. x ray is just to check whether if there is any fracture.
I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query.
Take care
