Treatment For Swollen And Tender Buttocks, Constipation, And Piles?

I really hope this site is genuine, I am in absolute agony. The bottom of my left bum cheek is slightly swollen n is very tender and it spreads over to my perineum. It is rock hard and very painful, during bowel movement yesterday I applied pressure to this area and it seemed to ease it, I suffer with constipation and as a result piles, my parner just thinks that it's my piles that have flared up really bad, I'm concerned as I think he is wrong I think that there is poo caught there which is why I have the pain and tenderness, I have been using treatments for piles ie suppositories and cream and it's not helping, I have also been taking ibuprofen to help ease the pain but I am having no luck. This has been like this since Tuesday early evening. Please help me, tell me what to do I have never felt pain like this and have gone through two labours without drugs, so as you can tell my pain threshold is quite high. Thank you

Gastroenterologist 's  Response
Hello! Thanks for putting your query in HCM. I am a Gastroenterologist (DM).

1. Make your stool soft by taking a laxative like syrup cremaffin plus which is a combination of milk of magnesia, liquid paraffin and sodium picosulphate and lots of fibres by taking fruits and vegetables and may also add psyllium fibres like fibril
2. Local ointment containing diltizem for application per anum before and after defecation
3. Sitz bath at least 4 times per day
4. Analgesic with combination of tramadol and paracetamol

This I found very useful in my patients

I hope I have answered your query and this will help you. If you have any further query I will be happy to answer that too. Remain in touch and get-well soon.
