Tiredness, Pains In Ankles In Morning, Nausea. What Is The Matter With Me ?

A few months ago I started feeling tired almost all the time. For no apparent reason I have also lost weight. I went to see my GP. He did blood test & said all was well. Several weeks ago, when i got out of bed, I almost fell over as the pain in my ankles was immense. Now, whenever I wake or have been sat a while I can barely stand tho this subsides on walking. I have gone from urinating twice a day to urinating more than 10 x a day. Now ive noticed blurred vision on some days. Other days my eyesight is as good as any other 49yr olds. On occasion i also get pain in my chest & today thought i was having a heart attack as it was so severe I could barely breath . Im now really worried. What is the matter with me?

hi,
from your history it seems that these are the symptoms of menopausal syndrome.at this age woman hormone level decreases and produce hormonal imbalance leading to menopausal syndrome.
you have got vague complains of fatigue, weakness, anxiety, tension, you feel that i go for tears, pain in chest, leading to doubt of heart attache, body ache. These are the complains which are not fitted with any disease.
for this you consult your gynecologist, apart from menopausal syndrome, you have frequency of urine that also to be investigated

Thank you Dr V for your reply. Under normal circumstances I would agree that my symptoms could be the menopause but, I have been on HRT for 6yrs as I hit the menopause somewhat early after a hysterectomy at age 24.

The tiredness is not vague but overwhelming and causing me to sleep at every opportunity. My limbs seem heavy, esp arms.

Ordinarily I have no tension or anxiety as life is otherwise great. This health matter is becoming the only worry.
