Tiny, Red , Very Small, Itchy Bumps Along The Side Of Back. History Of Noticing Carpet Beetles Sometime Back. Suggest

Hello. I am slightly freaking out. I noticed today that I had tiny red dots on my torso. The old ones don't itch very much. I woke up this morning with a few, very small bumps that itched along the side of my back. Two on one side, three on the other, one on the shoulder. They aren't red yet.

I noticed a few carpet beetles a few weeks ago but haven't seen any recently. I checked my bed for bed bugs but didn't see any. Currently I am washing my sheets and the shirt I wore to sleep in hot water...

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi
Welcome to Healthcare Magic Forum

Looks like you have developed a lesion of Vector dermatitis, also known as Paederus dermatitis.
Paederus dermatitis is a peculiar, irritant contact dermatitis characterized by a sudden onset of red lesions on exposed areas of the body.
The disease is provoked by an insect belonging to the genus Paederus.

You need to apply an antibiotic/steroid combination cream over the lesion twice a day.
Take oral antihistamine like levocetrizine once a day to decrease the swelling .

Do not use any moisturizer till the time the lesion heals .

Hope it helps
Wishing you speedy recovery
