Tingly Feeling In Penis. Pain During Urination. Cause For Tingling Feeling?

Hello, okay my penis started tingly in the middle of my sleep about a few hours ago. I went and started to pee and I thought I was done. It still tingled and I tried to pee again and I ha trouble peeing. When I did pee a pain started in my penis and only a little bit of pee came out. The tingling has gone away and I started drinking a lot of water.

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for using the HCM. I am happy to address your questions, painful urination describes any pain, discomfort, or burning sensation when passing urine. Pain on urination is a fairly common problem. People who have pain with urination also may have the urge to urinate more often. Painful urination is most often caused by an infection or inflammation somewhere in the urinary tract. Will advise you to contact your clinician if you have painful urination that lasts for more than 1 day and fever. A urinalysis and urine culture may be ordered. If you have had a previous bladder or kidney infection, a more detailed history are needed, and extra laboratory studies may be necessary. Drinking of lots of water helps flush the urinary system and could help remove the blockage. Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help. Thanks

Orthopaedic Surgeon Dr. Dr. Praveen Tayal's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The symptoms you have are likely to be due to a urinary tract infection. A routine urine analysis and ultrasound of the lower abdomen will help in confirmation of diagnosis. Oral antibiotics may be needed for treatment after investigations.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
Regards,
