Tingling Sensation After Alcohol Consumption. Why?
Hello Mia. I m just a tad curious what is happening with my body. I like to occasionally consume a glass of wine but I ve noticed that one to three minutes after the first sip, I find that down there begins to have a tingling sensation. It s not painful or discomfort but foreign nonetheless. Would you know anything about this?
Hello and welcome to Healthcare Magic. Thanks for your query.
You have not mentioned clearly where you have the tingling sensation. A very small percentage of people (especially asians) can have what is known as a "alcohol flush reaction", where they experience symptoms such as tingling, flushing, etc. after consumption of alcohol.
However, there can be many other causes for a tingling sensation in the body. So, I would advise you to report these symptoms to a doctor and have a detailed evaluation done in order to rule out any medical causes which could be causing your symptoms. If it is an alcohol flush reaction, then abstaining from abstaining from alcohol may be the only way to prevent these symptoms from happening.
Wish you all the best.
