Hello
Welcome

Sore throat can be due to viral infection which gives rise to headache and fever.
It is better to take paracetamol and antibiotics to prevent secondary infection. They should be taken under guidance of a physician or ENT specialist.Antibiotics like roxithromycin , azithromycin give good results in sore throat.Do saline gargles.Get investigations done like CBC or complete blood count to see the infection under doctor's guidance.
Best wishes and take care

Hello Dear
Thanks for your query
Your words suggest you are having upper respiratory tract infection.

The following points will help you :
- Do warm saline gurgling four times daily for five days.
- Have plenty of fluids and citrous fruits.
- Take Levocetrizine 5 mg tablet twice daily for five days.
- Take Paracetamol 500 mg twice daily for three days and thereafter SOS.
- Take CoAmoxiclav 625mg tablet thrice daily for five days.

Doing a throat swab culture & sensitivity testing will help in diagnosis.

Dont self medicate.Get a check up from your doctor and follow his advice.

Update here how you stay.

Take care .

Hi kayla,
Thanks for writing in to Healthcare Magic!
The sore throat, headache, tiredness and muscle pain, the whole syndrome is suggestive of a sore throat related to a viral syndrome.
It takes 3-4 days to get better, you should have bed rest at least avoid hectic outdoor schedule.
Take liberal fluid intake and have nutritious diet. You should take OTC medication for malaise like Ultracet/Crocin etc thrice a day.
You should improve the oral health, brush twice a day and do chlorhexidine mouth gargles thrice a day and avoid eating any edibles during ensuing 2 hours to ensure good germicidal effect of chlorhexidine; Do warm saline gargles after you take anything orally.
If you have any further query please let me know I would try to answer it for you.
Wish you a great health!
