Three Yrs. Ago I Had Surgery On My Cervical Spine

Three yrs. ago I had surgery on my cervical spine to remove a herniated disc and it was replaced with a metal plate between C6-C7. Now I have 2 more herniated discs between C4 & C5 and C5 & C6. My Dr. suggested that I have ESI rather than surgery because I already had surgery between C6 & C7 and most people will have pain the rest of their lives if surgery is done on the new herniated discs. I'm reluctant to have the ESI because I've read that they aren't approved by the FDA and it's only a temporary solution. I requested Physical Therapy instead. My question is this: Can the new herniated discs shrink with PT to where I can avoid the ESI or possibly surgery as a last resort? BTW, I have RA as well as Fibromyalgia. I don't know if that makes a difference. Also, I've been prescribed 5 mg of Percocet but they don't help with the pain even when I take two of them at a time or even space them out with 1/2 hr. However, I will break a 10 mg of Percocet in half and I feel it working within 20/25 minutes. The 10 mg doesn't have a line in the middle where a pill should be broken but I break them in half anyway because they work. If I take a whole 10 mg pill, it really makes me drowsy and causes me to want to lay down and sleep. I will drive if I take only 1/2 but can't drive if I take the whole pill. Why will 1/2 of a 10mg Percocet work when the regular 5 mgs do not? I can't figure that one out. Is the Percot 10/325 a long acting pill or not? Thanks
