Tenderness, Pain Under Armpit, Shoulder Blade. Caused By Muscle Strain?
I have some tenderness with dull ache under left armpit and the tissue above my left breast is tender only if i apply firm pressure. I work out a lot so I dont know if i strained anything. I feel no lumps are anything. Its also like wanting ache near my shoulder blade too. I was in a wreck a couple years ago and had some muscle strain to my left side so maybe that could be a flare up. No history of breast cancer in my family either..

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement, Dr. Saurabh Gupta's Response
Hi and welcome to HCM The symptoms you have described are more likely to be symptoms of muscles strain. To get relief from the pain and for quick healing: * Do hot fomatation at the site. * Apply local anti-inflammatory gel 2-3 times a day. * Take anti-inflammatory drugs like Ibuprofen to reduce pain and local swelling or inflammation. * Do not lift weight or try to do exercise that involve painful muscles. If it persists, get it examined by your doctor to rule out any other pathology. Hope this will helps you. Take care.
