Taking Levlen Ed. What Is The Dosage? When Should I Take Active Pills?
hi, i just got levlen ed today. my period started yesterday and i m very confused about the days on the packet. it says to start with the red section however those are just placebos. i have heard you are supposed to start with the active pills however my doctor was very vague. since it is a wednesday and the first *active* pill is on a saturday in the red section, do i take the first active pill thats labelled saturday or the closest active pill for a wednesday?

Levlen ed is a combined oral contraceptive pill with a success rate of 99%. It contains 21 hormonal (ethinylestradiol, the estrogen & levonorgestrel, the progestin) tab & 7 non hormonal tab. It inhibits ovulation & prevents conception. The non hormonal placebo tab is started on the first day of the menstural cycle. You should start with the nonhormonal pill marked for wednesday if you are starting the pack on a wednesday and continue taking one tab everyday preferably at the same time till the pack is empty. The next pack should be started the very next day.
