Taking Antibiotics And Painkillers For Swollen Feet And Knees And Sores On Roof Of Mouth

Hello I have been suffering for three day from sowelln feet and knees and sores on the roof of my mouth I have a sore throat and I can't walk without the help of pain killers. It has gradually gotten worse since it has started. I'm running a temperature of 100.3 and I have been to the doctor Wednesday who thinks it's foot hand mouth disease but today on thanksgiving I woke up and it was its worst. I went to the hospital but they couldn't figure out what it is even after blood work. The doctors at the hospital think that it is not foot hand mouth due to the fact that my swollen feet are swollen due to knots under and on the sides of my feet. They prescribed me a anitbiotic and pain killers. That was around noon on thanksgiving now it's 1am on Friday and it has still gotten worse. Any chance you can give me some information?

Hi and thanks for the query,
I think a more in depth evaluation is required. It is very appropriate to know the main cause of the foot swelling. With a past history of sore throat, it is obligatory to exclude a septic arthritis (bacterial infection of the joints), spreading from the throat. Early treatment would avoid complications . Gout and other forms of arthritis could also cause these same symptoms. A complete blood count, erythrocyte sedimentation rate and C reactive protein are essential to make the difference. Please, consult a doctor for a complete clinical review. Kind regards
