Taken Antibiotics For Ear Abscess. Not Healed Yet. What Do You Think?
My Dr said its a pimple on me ear when I go back 2 weeks later she said my ear is absessed. It's inside my ear at the top above cartilage and hard to get to (my Dr said) I've taken antibiotics for 2 weeks and its not better could it be a syt. My Dr mashed it 2 weeks ago and she said some stuff came out but she didn't get it tested or anything. What would you do ans what do you think it is???

The symptoms definitely point out to a boil or a furuncle which became a full blown abscess which the doctor would have drained or cleared and instituted therapy for the healing.
The cartilage of the ear is very sensitive and is vital in providing the shape and structure to the ear so make sure that the cartilage infection is treated properly.
Make sure the area now is clean and it is healing. If the area is healing then you do not need to do anything further and just continue the course of medication prescribed by the doctor.
If the swelling recurs then you need to undergo complete examination of the system and blood and get a proper diagnosis
take care and do not meddle with the ear
