Taken Cefixime For Short Breath. Taken Phensedyl For Cough. Reason?

i have been suffering from short breath for last 3 months. I have been treated by my doctor with cefixime 200, steroids, montelucast, loratadine, amoxicilin(with clauvulanic acid), inhaelers( ventolin and seretide 25/250). the matter of frastation for me is that still i'm not 100% ok. I became ok 3 days before but today morning i am feeling bad again. what could be the reason and what should be the steps to get rid of this suffering? i avoid all the allergic foods n smoking but on the day before yesterday i took the drug phensedyl cough linctus(contains codeine phosphate n other chemicals). was it bad for me? does anxiety and alcohol hampers breath condition?

Hello,

Thanks for posting on HCM,

I think at this point, you should stop taking any antibiotics until the actual cause of your lung affection is discovered. Shortness of breath and cough could be symptoms related to a heart condition such as heart failure (pulmonary edema) and other lung affections. With systemic use of antibiotics, you might develop resistance (in case you develop future bacterial infections).
I suggest you see pneumologist for follow up of your lung affection.
Yes, to an extend it is possible that anxiety can exacerbate an already existing lung affection and alcohol too.
You might require too a psychiatric evaluation.

Hope this helps and wish you the best.
