Swollen Lump On Thumb, Redness, Light Line In The Centre. Could I Have Been Bitten By Something?

I have a very painful swollen lump on the top of my thumb . It is red and hot. It has become worse since yesterday. There seems to be a light little line almost in the centre. That is most painful spot. I can barely bend my thumb today. Could I have been bitten by something??

hello,
welcome to HCM
It might be infection of your thumb can be paronychia.
you should consult surgeon and take proper treatment including antibiotics.
if required incision and drainage can be done if it contains pus.
do you have any history of trauma over it.
please visit surgeon and take proper treatment.
