Swollen Glands On Neck. Had Sore Throat, Laryngitis. Suggestions?

I have had swollen glands under my neck, right above the clavical for almost 6 weeks. I got a sore throat a little over 2 weeks ago and after the sore went away I ve been left with laryngitis and it won t go away even after resting my voice for several days. The glands seem to have grown even more within the last 2 weeks.

Hello dear,

The glands under your neck are the swollen lymph nodes, which can be attributed to Laryngitis (infection/inflammation of the larynx)

Management includes:
1. Gargle with warm salt water to relieve throat pain.
2. Analgesics like paracetamol
3. Antibiotics depending upon culture & sensitivity reports to remove the causative organism.
4. Antihistamine preparations can also be used to provide symptomatic relief.
5. Voice rest

So, kindly consult an ENT specialist and get a proper clinical examination done.
Meanwhile...avoid taking cold food & drinks, maintain adequate hydration & take soft, non-spicy foods.

Wish you good health & a speedy recovery.
Thanks & take care.
