Swollen Bumps In The Vagina. Have Pain. STD?

Hi, my girlfriend is having soreness, swollen, and bump like things on the outside of her vagina. We swam in a very dirty pool a couple days ago, with no chemicals in it, just dirt and water. But we also had sex for the first time that same night. Now she is complaining of all those symptoms and she is worried she has an STD. She described the bumps as, "the same color of her vagina, and almost like scales". Really need some answers, thankyou.

Hi,
Thanks for writing in.
The condition can be herpes genitalis , furuncle or folliculitis.
It can be caused by bacteria from dirty water also it can be a STD.
A visit to dermatologist will allow proper diagnosis and treatment.
Till the time you can take Tab.Paracetamol for pain .Also you can apply antibiotic cream over the affected area . Definitive treatment would be based on diagnosis.
Hope this helps.
