Swollen And Painful Hand, Aggravated By Computer Work And Lifting Heavy Objects. Help
my hand constantly swells and causes me pain. i have tested negative for carpal tunnel, arthritis, and tendonitis. my doctors are confused because the pain in usually on the top of my hand and runs along my index and middle fingers. aggravation is caused by computer work and lifting heavy things. PLEASE HELP......I dont know what else to do
Since you mentioned that pain is more due to exertion . Pain is mainly in the index and middle finger The nerve supply of this area is by radial nerve and blood supply by radial artery, so also drain by radial vein. Main reason of pain may be irritation of radial nerve due to continue exertion ( over work). First of all get a rest of 15 days from your work and you will feel relief. Alternatively get in examination of calcium and B 12 level for nervitis. Consult a NEUROLOGIST and get his opinion. Good luck. Dr. HET
