Swelling Upper Lips After Applying Lip Wax. Applied Aloe Vera. Treatment?

Yesterday, I had a upper lip wax done and right after the attendant had finished, my upper lip had already begun to swell up. Immediately, she had applied Aloe Vera gel on the area. A few hours later, the swelling had not gone down for an hour. How can it heal since im quite afraid of the area getting more darker than it should be.
thank you!

Hi thanks for writing here.It seems you have developed allergic reaction to lip wax.Sometimes allergy just manifests as swelling known as angioedema. There is no itching or burning.Just apply ice over it two to three times daily.Do not apply any soap or creams over it.Start anti allergic tablet like cetrizine at night. You may require short course of steroid .You can consult your doctor for it.Take care.
