sir,
thanks for visiting us.
as we are experts in a different field, its difficult to comment about ayurvedic treatment.
from my side i can help you with this advice
1.psychological /behavioural interventions
2.tell the school to help and support you in this, coz one teacher to one child is usually required for
ADHD on a long term basis which actually is not possible in normal schools, which is why you need to have a meeting with the school to how tk things further in helping your child(small things like working in small groups, reward systems can help and motivation can help)
3.would be the last person to advise for drugs, only if behavioural and other supportive therapy is not helping much ,as drugs have lots of side effects...however
ritalin (
methylphenidate) can be given twice daily (morning and afternoon to be given, as evening dose can affect sleep,s not given )
side effects (weight and growth can be affected ,with
hypertension )
drug holiday is considered once a year
regards,
dr sowmya
