Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My daughter in 3 years old. Since she was a baby she would tighten up/tense up, her legs will cross and fingers clench. Now at 3 years old, her left wrist droops. This happens when she is laying down watching t.v. Could she be experiencing some kind of seizure or infantile spasm? YYYY@YYYY
Described symptoms may not be indicative of any seizure or muscular spasm, but it seems to be non-specific.It can be a simple habit or act. At this age, such a non-specific kind of act or unpredictable unusual acts are common. This may not be long lasting but soon will be forgotten.
It may not even need any medical treatment or attention. If the baby is loosing the consciousness or her sensorium disturbing then this would be a matter of concern, then she can be brought to the investigation.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
