Hi, cholesterol starts depositing in the blood vessels since birth. increased lipid levels increase the risks of CARDIOVASCULAR EVENTS in future especially diabetics are more prone to it. along with medication , life style changes and controlled balanced diet is very important. Do regular exercises like brisk walk at least 5 days a week. decrease oil intake in food. opt for roasted snacks rather than fried. eat lots of green leafy vegetables. opt for olive oil . since you need to control sugar levels donot opt for fruits like indulging in bananas, sapotas and mangoes. instead try citrous fruits and guava and papaya. donot take too much of carbohydrates . take good amount of protein like skimmed milk, lean meat ,egg white,pulses. high density lipoproteins are good lipids which protect the heart.its levels can be increased by eating almonds snd walnuts in moderation.
serum uric acid level is a little more. you need to restrict meat intake if you are a non vegetarian.
it is advisable to consult a cardiologist regarding high lipid levels as he may wantto run a few non invasive tests to check the heart condition.
