My Dear Rose,
You are having both active lesions as well as scars left after these heal up.
The line of action should be to control he active lesions first. For that you need to get certain tests done like Liver Functions and Lipid Profile. after that, your dermatologist will be prescribing Isotretinoin to you fora variable period of 3 -5 months depending upon severity and tolerance. There is a great chance that your problem of new eruptions will stop after that. Once this part is over you might undergo various procedures for improvement in scars. these could be non interventional or interventional and may include one or more of chemical peels, dermabrasion, lasers or scar surgery. These days micro needling is being performed with good results and the best part is that despite being intervention treatment. there is no downtime and it is cost effective too.The medicines being currently used by you might give some relief but your goal is toget rid of the problem for all times to come.
hope to hear from you about your experience following my advice
