Suggest Ways To Manage Side Effects Of Pregabalin For Vertigo

I have recently been prescribed Pregabalin for vertigo. (BPPV) I also take flexeril for fibromyalgia. The two drugs are producing side effects such as dizziness, numbness, and ringing in the ears. Is there any other drug for vertigo? Should I restrict my use of flexeril?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Pregabalin and flexeril both have common side effects of having dizziness and other symptoms in 10% cases.
You can change the drug pregabalin because many good drugs like anticholinergics or antihistamines (betahistine, cinnarizine, meclizine) or beta blockers like metoprolol etc are available in market unless there is any contraindications.
You must consult your treating physician regarding all this side effects and ask for other good options available.
Take care.
