Suggest Ways To Manage Severe Back Pain

I have severe back pain and I go to a pain clinic. I also have hepatitis C and my doctor wants to stay away from Tylenol based pain relief. I m currently taking hydrocodone Ibuprofen 7.5 -200mg, but it is ineffective for the amount of pain I m in. What would be a better, more effective pain medication for me that doesn t have Tylenol?
