Suggest Ways To Maintain BP Levels

Hello, I have been taking my blood pressure every day for the last week. I have not been feeling very healthy, and thought it might have something to do with my blood pressure. It is always 140+/90+ sometimes 150+/100+. I know that i need to do more exercise, but its a bit scary when i get winded or raise my heart rate... makes me feel terrible. I have been trying to eat less sodium, and more potassium in my diet but I am unsure how quickly i would feel the effects of any of that. I am most likely just going to set an appt with a doctor in my area, but I cam across this site and figured i would ask advice.

Primarily you need realise not to get too worried about the blood pressure raised but being cautious in very important. As you rightly said exercise is a very effective way of controlling blood pressure. I would even like to suggest you the even high potassium and low sodium salt is not advisable . The best is to just have a strict salt restriction. Reduce your tea and coffee intake. Avoid alcohol and smoking if you do. Regular monitoring of blood pressure is important. This will all help you lead a healthy life.
