Suggest Ways To Increase Immunity Against Allergic Cold In Children

Hi, My child is 4 yrs old she has cold, fever and she is continously coughing. Dr has prescribed Asthalin syrup for 5 days and told us that it is due to allergy. She has been frequently falling sick due to this problem.

Is there a way to increase immunity against this illness.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, I do care for your concern.
As said by your physician recurrent respiratory tract infections are caused due to allergy.
First of all as your child grows up, eventually it would recover.
avoiding the exposure to allergens such as dust, pollen etc would help, always keep the surrounding of child neat and clean.
Adding more green leafy vegetables and fruits, will add to anti-oxidants and would help to build immunity.
Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
