Suggest Ways To Heal A Scar Around Site Of Surgery For Gallbladder Removal
I have a scar that has not totally healed. The operation was about 6 years ago. Part of the scar is white as it should be. The other end of the scar is red and it seems to continually scale - like it is seeping slightly. This same surgical cut was done when I had an appendectomy, and then the surgeon cut the same scar to remove my gall bladder about 6 months later. It has not totally healed.
The scar might not heal properly if it is infected. So infected scar might be the reason if it doesn't heal since many months. You can apply topical antibiotic cream over that infected scar area. Vitamin E containing cream also can be beneficial. If you can able to post photo of your scar tissue than I can comment further.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Parth Goswami, General & Family Physician
