Hello, kids are picky, especially at certain ages. Along with praising the toddler everytime he eats a healthy food food, you may add a supplemental drink. Here in America we have oral supplements for different ages (i.e. Pediasure) that add calories and vitamins/minerals that a toddler needs to support brain, nervous system and motor development. You can bring Poly-Visol with you, a liquid multivitamin that you can squeeze in the corner of their mouth if not consuming fortified drink. Or, add powdered instant breakfast to a milkshake, pudding, etc. Try small frequent feedings. Add good fats to foods to increase calories (give avacodos, mashed, put more butter in potatoes, etc). Does this give you ideas? No junk food!(smile)Kathryn.
