Dear Dr I have been suffering from pilonidal sinus for the past 3-4 months. I do have the same kind of symptoms in my armpit..severly in the right compared to the left. When I consulted the surgeon said it is no where related to the armpit and also said it must have caused due to someother infection. For the pilonidal sinus Our Surgeon told me to undergo with a surgery.... Kindly suggest me what can be done....... Thanks and Regards Narendra

Hello
Thank You for contacting HCM.

For pilonidal sinus you need to undergo surgery. It is the only permanent solution if you do not want to visit doctor again and again. Yes, about armpits, it could due to hair infection BUT both these two conditions are not related to one another. It can be treated with antibiotic therapy.

Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow
up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us.
Wishing you good health.
