SIR GOOD MORNING I AM 33 YRS OLD AND FACING PROBLEM OF BLEEDING DURING TOILET SINCE LAST 6 MONTHS. FOR THIS I UNDERGONE TREATMENT AND TESTS LIKE COLONSCOPY , BARIUM ENEMA TEST AND SIGMODIOSCOPY AND USED TABLET TRENAXA AND THANK OD ETC. BUT AT LAST DOCTOR SAID THAT YOU HAVE ANY OTHER PROBLEM AND REFER TO SGPGIMS LUCKNOW FOR FURTHER TREATMENT

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted your history of being 33 years old and passing blood during passing bowel movements for the last 6 months. You have already undergone colonoscopy, barium enema, sigmoidoscopy, and taken treatment like trenexa and so on but looks that your problem is persistent.
That is why you have been referred to SGPGIMS.
Since there is bleeding since last 6 months and they could not find the cause, it is possible that the bleeding lesion gets regressed by the time the tests are conducted and hence not possible to find out till now.
In such a situation the following can be tried:
Investigations should be done when active bleeding is suspected.
Contrast enhanced CT scan of the abdomen with arteriography can possibly help to find the area of bleeding and colonoscopy at the same time can help you to find the lesion. Once got the problem the procedure to stop the bleeding will help you to get the cure.
