Suggest Treatment To Lower TSH And Cholesterol Levels

my wife is 52 yrs old.HER WEIGHT IS 75KG HIEGHT 160CMS. IN ROUTINE LFT test alkp 144(RANGE 42-98), sgot 42.6,sgpt 42.9.(RANGE 0-31) REST ARE O.K. SHE IS A THRYORID PATIENT. CURRENT TSH WAS 22.6 INSTEAD OF 5.5. CHLOROSTROL LEVEL 206. SUGGEST PRECAUTIONS AND REMEDIES.

hi.
thanks for posting query at HCM.

it looks like the patient is suffering from hypothyroidism.

she immediately needs to visit treating physician and she maybe advised to take "thyroxine hormone" daily and "-statin" drug to lower cholesterol level. she may have a diet control management for increased cholesterol before taking the statin drug ( fat free diet and no red meat/no junk food / no beverages).

TSH level should be monitored to adjust dose of thyroxine hormone ( tablets).
