Suggest Treatment To Control Blood Sugar Levels

I am having a very difficult time controlling my blood sugar even though my eating habits have not changed and I am actually being more careful than before. It does not seem to matter how much insulin I use. I had a cortisone shot for my back 10 days agao but I would think that the effects would have worn off. Any suggestions Thanks Sorry I am 55 and Have been type 2 for 10 years

Injectable steroids may take more time to clear off. So your current sugar increase may be partially influenced by steroids. Whatever be the case the best thing is to fine tune your insulin dosage as per the current readings. Key to success here would be use of glucometer to monitor blood sugar readings regularly and fine tune insulin dose accordingly. If you are a type 2 I am sure you must be on some tablets as well. Kindly provide me detailed info on your complete treatment schedule so that i will be in better position to guide you in meaningful way. Also please do not forget to mention the blood sugar readings.
