Suggest Treatment To Alleviate Pain In Vastus Intermedius Muscle
Hello, I recently started playing soccer again competetivly in hopes to go pro. I was out practicing on the field on day, just kicking my soccer balls at the goal when suddenly I felt a sharp pain on my thigh. I looked up the muscle group to see precisely where the pain was coming from and i believe it s my Vastus Intermedius that hurt any time I try to kick a ball with power. The pain has gone down but I still feel pain when I try to kick. I do warm ups and stretch my quads directly after and the pain is still there. How can I rehabilitate my quad to get this pain to go away? It is a seriously setting me back from what I want to do and the intensity I want to play at. Please help me!!
Thanks for taking time to write us, friend. You're a sportsman and these sorts of injuries are quite common. I would recommend you to put some ice over the affected area while you're playing and when you rest at home or when you have your shower, put some warm water over the affected area. Do it several times and within a week or two it would be fine. :) Keep up your game my friend. Good luck. Regards Dr Gunjan
