just diagnosed with hypothyroid, said on the very low end of the scale. am female 45 weigh 13st 3 (which is down to my problem as been unable to shift the weight and it came on quite quickly) and 5'11. How long will it take for me to feel back to 'normal' i.e. less tired, loss the water retention etc. am on 25mcg only been taking it 2 days

You should wait for 6 weeks. After 6 weeks repeat your T3, T4 and TSH level and set the dosage accordingly.
