Suggest Treatment Of Dizziness And Post Nasal Drip

I have been very dizzy for weeks. So much to the point where I am unable to go to the store or work because I feel so off balance. I have had a lot of head pressure and post nasal drip as well. I went to an Ent and he looked in my ears and did a hearing test and said he wasn t sure. I d like to know what could cause this and I d I should be concerned or what ve can do to help the dizziness.

Hi Dear ,

As per your query you have dizziness along with post nasal drip and doctor is nor sure about your problem . Well the symptoms you mention in query occur due to many reasons :-
- Low blood sugar and iron level ( which you already rule out ) .
- Some medications like anti-seizure drugs, antidepressants, sedatives and tranquilizers.
- Ear infection .
- Due to sonme medication .
-Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo.
- Meniere's disease .
- Migraine .

Sometimes ear infection occur when infection from upper respiratory track infection , post nasal drip or sinusitis spread through eustachian tube . I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor may order certain tests like CT scan , blood test , rotatory chair test , posturography and examination with otoscope . Doctor may prescribe antiemetic drug , antibiotics (amoxxicillin or penicillin ) at least for 10 days and recommend vestibular therapy . For now do warm saline gargles and take stean twice daily .
