Suggest Treatment Inflamed Pimple On The Nose

Hello doctor i got a pimple on the end of my nose recently like a few weeks ago first started out as a bump then became inflammed and i just couldnt resist picking at it so it went away but left a deep little hole and from closely it has redness in the hole

Hi Dear,

Understanding your concern.

The inflamed pimple on the nose as you describe in your query could be because of certain reasons like poor blood circulation , stress, skin irritation due to dust and hormonal changes .

I strongly suggest you not pick it with your hands anymore as it can cause severe infection on traumatized tissue .

The deep little hole with redness left after you picked the pimple is an ulcer ,which can be treated easily .

I would suggest you to wash this area twice a day with Luke warm water, To fasten the healing take a cotton , apply either tea tree oil or listerine antimicrobial agent and place it on the site of lesion for 10 min at least twice a day . You can also use topical creams containing benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid .Betamethasone can also be effective in this case

If lesion persist for more then a week then consult dermatologist ,
